Rampur is beautiful and magnificent valley of lower Kaligandai river basin. Just 400 meter above sea-level, the Rampur valley provide a sub-tropical climate. It is a flat valley and widest portion of Kaligandaki valley. The formation of Rampur valley is a matter of study. Nisdi khola is the father of Rampur valley and Jyagdi khola is the father of Chapakot valley. Dynamic orogenic forces are playing role in the formation of the valleys. The sediments carrying by the rivers and making aggregation, putting more loads to the valley floor is the ultimate cause of the formation of such flat valley. Rampur is one of the famous valleys of Nepal in such a situation. The Kaligandaki River, Nisdi khola and Jyagdi khola confluence here are integral part of the process. Rampur can take the leading role for the development of the whole lower Kaligandaki valley. Rampur is uniq with its warm climate, a flat land with in skip mountain ranges to both side. Rampur is important with its Immense Kaligandaki River. Rampur is rich with cultural diversity and uniqness. The Rampur is marching towards development. Transportation facilities can bring substantial change here after the completion of Keladi ghat motor able bridge. It is becoming a cross point to many transportation routs in near future. Kaligandaki corridor is an important route, Bhimad-Aryabhanjhang, Walling-Arungkhola, and other routes are confluence at Rampur making it as a hob.
